Back after a week vacation and a week recovering from vacation!! Hope to start posting now on regular basis, especially when school starts again in a week!
So yesterday I had a couple of my "besties" come over and we spent the day crafting. My friend Lynda is a FABULOUS crochet-er (ok crochet-er is not really a word, but the word for someone who crochets is a hooker…and I don’t really want to call her that!) Anyway, if you’re looking for some cute crocheted gift ideas, check out her Etsy shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/LandVThreadz
During our craft day I made this cute Halloween card (have I mentioned how much I love Halloween?)
The cute ghost I cut from my Cricut, using the “Mini Monsters” Cartridge. I inked the edges of the ghost with grey ink and added two googly eyes. The background is a piece of white cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the “Bricked” folder by Tim Holtz by Sizzix “Textured Fades.” I then inked that with two colors of grey ink (retired Close to My Heart grey wool and Bazzinks). Both have been in my stash for MANY, and I do mean MANY years. I finished it off with a black piece of cardstock that I stamped with the “Happy Haunting” sentiment that a good friend gave me and embossed it with Close to My Heart purple embossing powder then snipped the ends to make a flag shape.
Happy Haunting!! I’ll have more Halloween cards to come!!
