I spent the weekend crafting my heart out at Creating Keepsakes Convention in Lancaster PA. Had such a great time hanging with my creative buddies, learning new techniques, and fondling beautiful products. One of the classes I took was working with alcohol markers, specifically, Spectrum Noir markers. I have been experimenting with these for awhile, but it was great to learn the proper blending techniques from the experts. The most important thing I learned from that class? The right paper makes ALL the difference in the world! Tonight I played with my markers and am quite happy with the results. The stamp set is Home for Christmas from the Christmas with Barkley Collection from Stampworkz. The stamp set was a prize in class - of course I didn't win the set, so I had to visit the Bee Creative booth to purchase it! Money well spent if I do say so myself!

For the past seven years my creative side has taken a back seat to my full time job and my children. Now I am beginning a journey back to the "old" me - back to when I was creative, I was happy, and I was free! I hope you'll join me on this journey as I share my creativity and my knowledge and get back to having fun. Life is short. Time to get crafty!
