Holy Scrap! Christmas is Coming!

Every time I log onto Facebook I am bombarded with posts that remind me just how close Christmas is. Really?  Do I need to be reminded?  I have enough anxiety in my life!

So in the hustle and bustle of life around us, today's card contains one simple word, one word that I am going to repeat over and over to myself in order to survive the season.  That one word?  Peace.  Definition of peace is - freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility.  I think it's something that we all need in our lives, not just during the holidays, but all year round!

Enjoy this peaceful moment brought to you by me!

All good things must come to an end.....

Tomorrow is Halloween!

As exciting as that is, it's also bittersweet since this is the last Halloween card I'll be posting for awhile.  Can you guess the theme of this card?  Gotta' love me some googly eyes!!

So, I cleaned up my desk last night and put Halloween away.  While I shed a few tears, I am looking forward to sharing Christmas with you all!

So here it is, the last Halloween card for 2013!  Happy Haunting!!

We now return you to Halloween

Since we were preempted by Christmas yesterday, it is now time to return to Halloween!

Today’s card is a 5 ½ inch square card featuring yet another digital image from Tiddly Inks.  Christy Croll’s images are just too stinkin’ cute.  I am a huge fan and extremely addicted!

I colored this adorable witch and her HUGE pumpkin with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Still not sure about coloring hair, but I will continue to practice.  I added some Crystal Stickles to the pumpkin and to the witch’s hat.  My favorite part of the card (besides the image) is the little googly eyes in the O’s in the title.  Just a little whimsical touch to go with such a cute image.

Halloween Interrupted!

Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt Halloween to bring you….

Christmas!

I saw this little project on Pinterest yesterday, so of course I had to get the little terra cotta pots from ACMoore while I was out yesterday!  I painted the top three with Silks Mallard Green acrylic glaze.  I used Golden Green Ferro special effect stone paste on the base of the tree.  When all was dry I glued the pieces together with my hot glue gun, added some red bling and silver stickles, and the rest is history.  What a fun and easy project!

Ho Ho Ho!!

More Halloween

Got another Halloween card done.  The image is from Tiddlyinks.com.  Love their digital stamps!  So stinkin' cute!

I did some coloring on this with my Spectrum Noir markers - just around the edges of the mummy, then added some crystal Stickles.  The paper is from the Authentique's Thrilling 6 X 6 pack.

Thanks for looking!!  Maybe I'll actually get another card done before Halloween!!!

Where has Peggy been?

So I've been absent for the last few weeks since I've been SUPER busy with the kids - constantly running since school started!  I've put more miles on my car these last few weeks than I did the first 9 months of the year!  But now that soccer season is just about complete, I am hoping to spend more time creating and sharing.

Made a quick card for my buddy Lynda!  She has Halloween cards that I made in prior years displayed in her office.  I hope she like this one!!!

Self Portrait

Happy Labor Day!

Now that it’s September, I can direct my thoughts towards Halloween! Ok, so I’ve been in Halloween mode for awhile now. However, I would enjoy the thought of Halloween much more if it wasn't soupy and hot here in NEPA!

So I did a bit of a self portrait card this time.  I masked off white cardstock with a circle, then inked around it to create the look of a spooky night with a full moon.  The K&Company witch was the perfect silhouette for the full moon. I added some bats I punched out from black cardstock, orange ribbon, and a sentiment that I cut from Authentique's Thrilling collection and I had me another great card!

Isn't Halloween grand?
